ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday granted permission to residing officers to continue scrutinization of candidates nomination papers during Eid holidays.
ECP Spokesperson issued a statement, that commission had decided to permit scrutiny of nomination papers by the residing officers during Eid holidays.
The official added that if any notices are issued during these holidays, the candidates may submit nomination papers during the government sanctioned holidays.
Ruet-Hilal Committee on Thursday night announced that Eid Ul Fitr will be celebrated in Pakistan on June 16, Saturday. The government has sanctioned four holidays starting from June 15 till June 19.
